A 32-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder after a shooting in Minneapolis' Uptown neighborhood early Saturday, the city's 12th homicide this year, according to the Star Tribune.
The shooting occurred at 2:15 a.m. on February 18, 2026, near Hennepin Avenue and Lake Street, the Star Tribune reported. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Jamal Thompson of Minneapolis. The suspect is 32-year-old Marcus Reed, who has prior convictions for assault, according to the Star Tribune.
